Olive Oil Dispenser: Do You Use It?

By Peter C. Jones

These dispensers make for a nice decorative item on your dinner table. Combined with glass the olive oil drizzler can be made from a range of materials including ceramic, stainless steel and porcelain.

These devices can also be handy kitchen tools. Not many people are aware that using olive oil to cook is a health thing to do. It is not only natural but also has flavor, especially when you use the virgin olive oil. The good thing is that the virgin olive oil is not as expensive as the normal olive oil.

Using olive oil drizzlers and/or dispensers (rather than just pouring some olive oil off a bigger container) will make it much simpler to control the quantity and the delivery of olive oil into a given recipe or onto a serving plate.

The dispenser helps to regulate the amount you drizzle because it is capped with a special spout that facilitates this process. The olive oil dispenser allows one to control the amount of olive oil when pouring it out either on a plate or a particular meal, for instance a salad.

Olive oil (that is extracted from quality green olives) happens to be rich in antioxidants - which is high in nutritional value. Sadly the same antioxidants can get the oil to get rapidly rancid if the oil is exposed to air. So, it's important that you ensure the appropriate storage of olive oil using olive oil dispensers. It will definitely help you maintain the quality and freshness of the olive oils that you use in your gourmet recipe and foods.

Olive oil dispensers are wonderful storage containers because they maintain the freshness and quality of the olive oil. You may or may not know this, but olive oil is extracted from green olives and they are rich in antioxidants. These antioxidants when exposed to the air become rancid and that lowers their nutritional value as well as their flavor, therefore storing them in dispensers will ensure that this does not occur.
