The Importance Of Independent Water Testing Labs

By Francisca Avila

There are so many contaminants in the drinking water supply today, that one cannot rely on what comes out of the tap as a safe drinking source. However, this does not mean that there is nothing that can be done about it. The best way to know exactly what you are dealing with is to go to one of the independent water testing labs.

The reason for doing this has mainly to do with the association of these laboratories. They have no loyalties to any organization and will more than likely provide you with unbiased results. This is not true of some of the companies that sell filters. It is obvious that they want to sell their products to you.

When it comes to a contaminated drinking supply, everyone is at risk for health related issues. But the ones that are most at risk are women who are pregnant, the elderly, and children. They are the ones that are most susceptible to the toxins that are found in the water. This is why it is important to get the best information possible so that one can make the best choice in a filtration system.

One is able to get results that are not company specific. - Not all filters are the same and it is important to make sure that the results from a test are reliable. Many companies claim to get rid of certain toxins. Yet, they can easily create findings that can persuade people to buy their product. Having results that are unbiased enables you to make the right decisions.

There are filters that use carbon as a way of filtering toxins. Others use the system known as Reverse Osmosis that is a popular filtration system. There are others that use advanced forms of technology to create filtration systems that are among the best in the world. One can also use any of these systems for drinking alone, or for the entire house.

Some people use home testing kits to test their drinking supply. This shows that people are concerned about the quality of the water that they are drinking. But. Home testing kits are not as effective because they do not provide the full range of information that one will need to make the right choice in a filtration system.

Testing labs that are independent are more likely to provide results that are unbiased. They are not involved in the process of making water filters so they will not provide results in favour of any company. If one is dedicated to providing the best that they can for their family, then they should think about having their water tested.
