The Beautiful South Africa

The ethnic diversity of South Africa arose from the spate of immigrations from Europe that happened in the past, starting with the Portuguese. Over years, this led to the cultural mix that exists in the country today. Located at the southern most tip of Africa, blessed with a long coastline and offering breathtaking landscape and immense natural beauty, South Africa remains the favorite destination of people from all over the world.

The whole South African land is an eye candy for the nature lovers. The breathtaking landscapes, the wild life and a lot more things make it a happening tourist spot. The main city and the capital of the country is Pretoria which is famous for its beautiful botanical gardens and zoos. Apart from Pretoria there are other cities worth visiting, namely Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein. Cape Town is known for its unique sea points while Johannesburg is famous for its golf courses.

A destination in its own right, the Table Top Mountain overlooking Cape Town, offers a scenic view of the city and its popular beaches. Out of the city, you have the one and only Garden Route, a natural theme park with its wonderful mix of forests, lakes, lagoons waterways and rivers. Famous for its wines, the Cape Wine Land offers unique wine and cheese tasting tours, contributing to a truly delectable experience.

Beyond being a transit point for connecting flights, Johannesburg, with its historical and art museums as major attractions, rightly claims to be the most popular city in South Africa. Another major seaside destination known for its water sports facilities, Durban is also home to Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve, and Burman Bush Nature Reserve; all worth a visit. Port Elizabeth, the home of sunshine, sandy beaches is also known for its quality night-life as well as its parks and reserves. Sowete is the destination for one interested in historical sites.

Sun city offers a unique South African experience with its relaxing atmosphere and variety of entertainments and activities. From Sun City, a visit to Pilanesberg National Park with its exciting balloon safaris fits nicely in as a day trip. And for those who demand more, there is elephant back riding and quad biking.

Kruger National Park is the most famous natural reserve in the country. A wide variety of birds, animals make it Africa's one of the best safari destination. Rhinos, elephants, buffalo, leopard, lion which are known as big-5 can be seen at the same time in this natural reserve. The whale festival is a famous festival organized in this park.

Apart from these, the South African land is a place worth visiting, at least once in a lifetime. The accommodation and commuting facilities , make your trip a beautiful memory. Safaris, wines, cultural diversity, beaches are the features offered by South Africa to each and every tourist visiting this beautiful country.
