Watch Blood Into Wine Documentary

By Marvin Gibbs

Blood into wine is acted in Arizona in USA and it's a documentary. This film premiered in Scottsdale in Arizona on 19th of February 2010. It is acted by the original characters and documents aspects of their real life. Eric Glomski and Maynard James Keenan are the lead actors. The script is by Ryan Page, Christopher Pomerenke and James Keenan. Ryan Page and Christopher Pomerenke are the directors.

Keenan is a renowned musician. He has sang with many Groups including Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. He is also a songwriter, actor and record producer. On top of this, he makes wine. Many viewers may wonder why Keenan decides to mix art and wine. This however should not be surprising because making wine making runs in Keenan's blood. His grandparents and ancestors were wine makers in Italy.

Keenan's cellars are called Merkin Vineyards and Caduceus Cellars. These vineyards are located in Arizona. He is also a partner of stronghold vineyards. Eric Glomski is Keenan's business partner and owns Page Springs Cellars.

The documentary reveals the journey Keenan and Glomski have traveled in their wine making venture. They both discuss their challenges plus successes made through the 10 years since the business started. It is ironical that they produce wine in the Arizona Verde Valley as it has a desert climate. You should however not be surprised by this as the area has summers that are cool and temperatures are low at night. Grapes perform well in this kind of climate. Their skin becomes thickened and it also gives additional flavor to wine.

This is the story of Glomski's and Keenan's business partnership and friendship formed through their passion for wine. Glomski is hired by Keenan due to his vast experience in making wine. Keenan asks Glomski to help him understand the wine production process and how to run the business. They both plan to go their separate ways when Keenan is able to stand alone.

In the documentary, Keenan is displayed as a dedicated wine maker in a tough environment. As the documentary continues, viewers get to know many things about making wine from the two men. It includes how to get down on the ground to plant vines and also pick the grapes. Wine tasting is also shown plus the great passion that goes into production of every wine bottle.

A film about viticulture could be considered boring by some people. This film however finds ways of making everything appear humorous. Keenan appears creative and quite polite in the film. He is also very compelling.

Keenan has a soliloquy at some point where he compares wine production and music production. He views both as his ways of expressing himself using art. He makes efforts of explaining to fans why he has a desire to do different things in life.

The film is entertaining and quite funny all through. It will be released on 7th September 2010. You can catch a glimpse of the action online before it is released.

This film shows that people change impossibilities to possibilities. It also shows that when we are willing to do something there is usually a way of doing it. This may be the reason its producers named it Blood into Wine.
