If you are an adventurous person and enjoy a romantic destination more than one that offers miles of chrome and glass high-rises, Cuba might be the perfect spot for you. Cuba tours are for those of you with a soul that can appreciate atmosphere in all its different forms.
During the miserable winters of the Northern hemisphere, Cuba is the ideal place to break away for a couple of weeks of sunshine. What you will find in Cuba is not only warm weather but warm and friendly people with a passion for music and culture.
Your tour will most likely start in Havana. This place simply overflows with character. From the crumbling old colonial buildings to the numerous cars dating back to the 50's and 60's, everything simply adds to the charm of the city.
The well-known sea wall (malecon) is a perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a few quiet moments just feeling the soft breezes caress your skin. But when the sun sets the city really comes alive with numerous live music venues.
Cuba has much more to offer than Havana though. In the far south of the country there is a city called Baracoa - located in such a beautiful spot between sea and mountain, surrounded by lush vegetation, that it prompted Christopher Columbus to say that no human eye could ever view any more beautiful place.
Santiago de Cuba is the country's 2nd largest city. It is often credited to be the birthplace of the revolution - and this place with it's pulsating samba music, beautiful colonial churches and many museums indeed has a lingering sense of conspiracy in the air...
Camaguey is Cuba's third largest city - and also its most difficult to navigate. This is not by chance - the crazy maze of narrow streets were planned that way to put off pirates and robbers. This makes for an interesting city though. Combined with numerous beautiful parks, a market garden and many art galleries Camaguey is well worth a few days of exploring.
Nobody should leave Cuba without bringing a visit to Trinidad. It is considered by many to be the loveliest of all colonial cities in Cuba. Once again you will find sufficient night life to make sure you never get any sleep and during the days you can sleep off the effects of the previous night on one of the many white beaches nearby.
Many tour operators nowadays offer specialized Cuba tours. Some tours concentrate on visiting historical areas, others more on showcasing the culture of the country and still others on exploring the natural beauty of this magnificent land.
