Planning Your Upcoming Brisbane Holiday

By Kathy Smith

If you are looking for an exotic location that has it all, then consider Brisbane , Australia . It is rapidly becoming one of the hottest vacation destinations and the incredible thing about a trip of this magnitude is that the biggest expense you will have will be your round trip flight. Although, a flight to Australia is not cheap, there are some tips to help you save money.

The time of year that you plan your trip, can greatly affect the amount that you will pay. The most expensive times of year to travel to Australia are October to February, and actually go up a little higher through the holiday season. June through August will also be more expensive because this is the holiday season in Australia . The absolute best time of year to get a good deal on a flight is September to November.

Book your flight well in advance of your vacation. Look into various flights and companies, in order to get the best deal and book them as early as you possible can. Do not assume that is you wait a little longer you may be able to find a better deal, as booking in advance is typically your cheapest option when purchasing airfare to travel to Australia.

If you cannot find any flights online, or with a travel agent do not give up hope. Try contacting airlines directly, since they sometimes hold back tickets to sell themselves. This should probably be your last option, but if all else fails, it is worth a shot.

Since it is usually the cost of your airfare that will be the biggest expense you will incur on your trip, you need to spend some time switching around the dates to find the cheapest flight available around the time that you are looking to travel. This may mean being flexible, but it can really save you a lot of money. Sometimes just switching up your plans by a week or so can wind up saving you a great deal off your airfare.
