Movie Downloads, Video Streams And Other Options

By Warren Campos

Internet movie downloads have in recent years come in very popular demand. New movies, old movies, black and white, still in theaters, almost any movie you can think of is available for download on the Internet due to this popular demand. However this growing rate of what some would call piracy is subject to criticism by many authorities, and therefore calls for an alternative. In addition to being able to download movies, you can also stream them straight to a new browser window.

To begin with, there are several ways to download movies. There are many programs, from Bit Torrents to special softwares that allow you to gain access to music and movie downloads from fellow users of these programs and softwares. How reliable the movie download is dependent on how reliable the source is, so make sure you choose that source wisely.

There are also Web sites that allow you to download movies straight from the Web, movies that have been put there by a host or multiple hosts. These movies are usually free to download, unless you are using certain pay services which usually come at minimal monthly costs and allow you to view movies online or to have them shipped to your home.

Movie downloads can be very time consuming, especially if your internet connection is slow and/or your browser is outdated. Slow connections can cause music and/or movie downloads to take hours to finish. If you would like a useful alternative to watching movies that would also save Hard Disc space, you could try movie streaming.

With the right Web sites, streaming can save you large amounts of time. As long as you have a good Internet connection and a suitable browser, certain Web sites (which can be found through simple searches) will allow you to access a multitude of television programs and movies that are otherwise expensive or hard to find with ease of burden on your mind and your wallet.

Downloading movies is frowned upon by some people and most authorities. Streaming, however, is legal due partially to the fact that most streamed movies are streamed through foreign Web sites. These streamed movies are even in some cases streamed through multiple foreign sites.

Some streaming Web sites will only allow you to watch a certain amount of the film before pausing for a set amount of time. This will be an attempt to get you to sign up for full membership with the streaming site. If you do not wish to sign up with the Web site for full membership but you wish to return to viewing right away, you can usually refresh the page and skip ahead to where you were in the film. If you cannot do so, you can still go get a snack and take care of some minor business before returning to the film in the short period of time set aside as determined by the streaming site.

All in all, streaming is a very plausible and readily available replacement for downloading movies. It is quick, it is cheap and most of all it is legal (for those of you who care).
