Pony Rides In San Jose, Costa Rica

By Marina K. Villatoro

A great place to start off is La Sabana Park, on the Eastern side of San Jose. And additionally, you'll get to see one of the best city parks of Central America. I've been to lots of central parks all around the world and trust me, this park can easily be compared with Manhattan's Central Park and London's Hyde Park!

Let me tell you I've been to lots of central parks all around the world and trust me this park can easily be compared with Manhattan's Central Park and London's Hyde Park! If I ever make a list of all the family friendly places to go, I will definitely start it with La Sabana Park.

That is because whenever me and my son never find anything to do in the house, the first place we head to is La Sabana Park where a dull moment is never to be found. At first you can have a leisurely walk in the par around the lake to check how the locals are spending their days. One thing that can particularly be found is a person dressing up like different kid-friendly costume.

But, whoever hired this guy dressing up as Barney must have forgotten to tell him that his work was to entertain kids. Apparently, he had no interest whatsoever on kids! He was more interested in taking pictures with older girls and talking to them. I practically had to force him for taking pictures with my son, which is one of his jobs in the first place. But he was too busy with drooling over girls, but hey, it's all fun, right?

And to finish it off, I always make sure that my little son gets to ride the pony! The ride's about half an hour and covers the entire lake area. It is guided by one of the employees who is cautious enough to make sure the horse doesn't go off track and stays calm. Besides, I can actually use it as a bribe for my son! For example, if I want him to get some things done later on, I politely remind him about the pony ride and also that he won't get another if he doesn't stay a good boy.
