Ideal Golf Place In Europe

Golf, being the most preferred sport of the world's richest and the powerful people, is one of the sports activities flourishing in Ireland. It is nice to see that the country is investing so many types of funds in improving the facilities and giving international standard grounds for this sport. The sport was called the Rich Sport during the olden days, as only Kings and wealthy men used to spend hours in playing this sport and it is said that they even had specially made lawns for this. However, we have seen great number of changes in the methods and systems of this game thereby allowing it to be played by almost everyone.

The sport is now played as a common game by anyone who is able to afford a golf course registration fee. The Irish government has been able to make this game popular, by framing rules and by allotting great amounts of funds to create new golf courses, renovate old ones and to maintain the quality of the requirements in this sport. Ireland is green in color due to such policies, which has helped create almost three hundred golf courses all around the Irish lands. The courses in Ireland have earned great amounts of reputation and some have even found players who come every year from other countries specially to play golf in the season that suits them best. The entire region of Ireland have devoted part of their lands for making golf courses and the most preferred ones decorate the northern part of the region.

Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo which are found in the West and North western regions of Ireland have made linked golf courses which extend from Galway all the way to Ballyliffen. The Northern parts of Ireland offer more than eighty courses spread out in Antrim, Armagh, Londonderry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone. Clare, Kerry and Limerick in the south western parts of the Irish grounds have been noted for their coastline advantages from the south of Galway to Waterville. The south part has limited access to golf courses but the ones found in the county and city of Cork proves very sophisticated and perfect for health regeneration therapies.

The western and the north western regions of Ireland comprising of places like Donegal, Galway, Mayo and Sligo, have been made into linked golf courses which are found to start from Galway and goes right up till Ballyliffen. There are about eighty courses in Antrim, Armagh, Londonderry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone in the northern parts of Ireland. The south western parts like Limerick, Kerry and Clare have good coastline facilities from Galway to Waterville. The southern parts offer limited number of courses but the ones available are quite perfect for health regeneration.

Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, Wesford and Wicklow of the south eastern parts of Ireland have good health regenerating conditions and the courses offer fresh air for those suffering from health ailments as well. North eastern parts of the same have been identified as the nest place for golfers, as they have two of the best courses of Ireland, at Port Marnock. The fifteen Irish Opens, the Irish Walker Cup Tournament and the Canada Cup have been quite successfully conducted here and Druid serves as the venue for the Murphy's Irish Open which is the best golf event in Ireland.
