Guide To Spending Holidays In California

By Craig Walker

Once you spend your holidays in California, you will never have any desire to go anywhere else again. California is the ultimate vacation spot. There is absolutely nothing that they do not have: beaches, mountains, wine country, sunshine all year, and the thriving culture of Hollywood. The best part of California is that it is very easy to visit as much of it as you can on your vacation, since it is all within a few hours of each other.

No Californian vacation would ever be complete without the beach. Luckily, almost any part of California that you visit is within a couple hours of the beach. The best place to start with is San Diego. San Diego not only has magnificent beaches and hotels, it is also a culture all to its own. There is a big art scene in San Diego, not to mention the nearby zoos and aquariums.

Just a few hours inland is a mountain resort paradise, Big Bear Lake. If you are there in the winter, you can take in the amazing ski slopes. If you are visiting in the summer, their panoramic lake features the very best in water sports, camping and hiking.

The heart of California, Los Angeles and Hollywood, are next of the list of places to go. Los Angeles is a place unto its own, featuring endless things to do. Go to one of their world class restaurants, take in a show at the outdoor theater under the stars, or go over to Hollywood! Hollywood is a truly exciting place, since celebrities are always about and there are constantly directors filming movies.

Napa Valley is not to be missed. It is the best of California's Wine Country, producing the majority of the state's vino. The vineyards are beautiful, and be sure to stop at a winery to taste their wine.

Holidays in California are the best vacation experience. There are endless possibilities and things to do. Take a trip and find out!
