Tennis Instructions For Beginners, Hit The Ball Back

By Donald Anthony

Tennis instructions for beginners begins with one word... Control. Control your shots and you will control the game. You see many people want to do what they see the pros do on TV. They want to hit with power and speed.

They go to the court and try to copy the professionals. Next thing they know they have to chase the ball they just hit over the fence into the street.

Anyone with a tennis racket can slam a tennis ball with power and speed. But pros hit the ball with speed and power into their opponent's court because they have trained and practiced the right way. And all of them started off learning control before speed and power. It is like learning to drive a car. You learned to control the car first before taking it on to the freeway.

At least most people did not learn how to drive on the freeway. You probably started in a quiet neighborhood or a large empty lot. The same applies to your tennis lessons. You will not have the same type of wreck on the court as you would on the road when you first start off playing and making mistakes. But you want to learn the right way on the court just the same.

Do you know that even at the professional level that the player who controls his or her shots more often wins the match? Even at that level the player with the fewer mistakes wins. The difference at the pro game is that they can force their opponent to make mistakes. But You do not have to try to do that. All you need to do is hit the ball back over the net and into your opponent's court. Let him make the mistake.

If you are playing someone your skill or even a little better than you, just get your shot back and in bounds and you will win the point eventually. This is because your opponent will get frustrated by your consistency and will over hit his shot. He will blow the point sooner or later. Just give him time and the opportunity to make a mistake in your favor.

You will build a disciplined game and your opponent will get so frustrated that he will lose the point. Build patience and you will wear down your opponent who out of frustration will hit the ball into the net, out of bounds, or even over the fence. This is the best tennis instructions for beginners. And for that matter everyone who wants to beat more tennis opponents no matter your level.
