Everyone loves to laugh and most everyone enjoys a humorous film. If you are in the mood for some laughs here are a couple of comedies that may be worth downloading tonight.
An exceedingly funny film but one that is only appropriate for adults is "The 40-year-old Virgin" featuring Steve Carell as Andy Sitzer, a 40-year-old man who works in an electronics store, rides a bike and is still a virgin even at his advanced age. His buddies and co-workers find out about his secret and the quest is on to get Andy some sexual experience. Entertaining mishaps abound all the way through.
At the ending he falls in love with Trish, a 40-year-old single mother of three and he finds that it is always better to do it with someone you love. Directed by Judd Apatow and starring Steve Carell, Catherine Keener, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, Elizabeth Banks and others. Rated R for persistent sexual subject matter, language and a little drug use. Not suggested for children or someone easily affronted by sexual circumstances. From the year 2005.
"Dodgeball, A True Underdog Story": Silly and very funny movie about a collection of misfits who must win a dodgeball competition in order to salvage their favorite gym, called Average Joe's gym from becoming part of a gym franchise called Globo gym.
Featuring Vince Vaughn as Peter, the owner of Average Joe's gym and Ben Stiller as White Goodman, the president and founder of the gym franchise, Globo Gym. Look out for the unexpected cameo appearance by Lance Armstrong. Can a collection of underachievers make a dream come true? Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, from the year 2004.
The third recommendation is a humorous movie that is based upon an even more humorous television show from the 1960's. "The Beverly Hillbillies" is adapted from the uproarious television show of the same name. The Clampetts move to Beverly Hills when they become millionaires after discovering oil on their Arkansas land.
Well cast with Jim Varney as Jed Clampett and Cloris Leachman as Granny. Lily Tomlin plays Miss Jane Hathaway. Diedrich Bader is cast as the part of Jethro Bodine and Erika Eleniak fits the role of Elly Mae Clampett. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, from the year 1993. A great adaptation, yet nothing could be funnier than the original television series.
There you have just a few suggestions for a humorous show. Try one tonight, you can download it directly to your own computer in just a matter of moments.
