My Samsung LN46B650 Review

By Phil Edgar

With the Samsung LN46B650 you are making a wise HDTV investment. With 1080p High Def picture quality and 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, you really can't go wrong. Every on screen detail is razor sharp and the images come to life with Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer3 Technology.

Common problems with LCD TVs are motion blur and image judder, but not with the Samsung LN46B650. This model includes a number of features to reduce these problems when displaying fast movement on screen.

Sharp, crisp images are guaranteed with the Samsung LN46B650. This model has a super fast 4 millisecond response time. With Samsung's Auto Motion Plus frame interpolation technology, with a refresh rate of 120Hz combined, viewing action movies, sports or playing video game will seem like real life.

One of my favourite features of this TV is that it has what is called 'Internet@TV'. This means that you can access content from Yahoo!, YouTube, Flickr and more via your remote control! How Cool is that! It uses either a wired or wireless Ethernet connection (your choice of course) to connect to the net and away you go!

The scrollbar and widget at the bottom of the TV screen will help you to browse all the content, info, entertainment and games at your leisure.

Also included is a 2G flash memory to entertain and be-dazzle you! With pre-loaded features, you can change or update the content and programs on it, simply by downloading from Samsung's website via your Ethernet connection.

Another cool feature of the LN46B650 is that you can play your MP3s and display JPEG/MPEG files on it. Which means you could be checking out your digital photo albums while listening to your Ipod through the 15-watt bottom stereo speaker and the subwoofer. It has 2 USB ports and four HDMI 1.3 ports for connection.

The subtle detail on the TV really gives it a modern look. Inspired by Samsung's 'Touch of Color' design, it has a translucent red touch around the edges. I love it. This model is also Energy Star Compliant, so you'll probably be spending less money on electricity than you're already spending on the TV that you have now.
