By Derek Thomas

State Attorney General Rob McKenna is predicted to soon be making an announcement to run for governor of Washington in the upcoming 2012 election. Many people in the state favor him to become the next governor, even amongst left-leaners in the most liberal counties. In the election of 2008 when he was chosen for a second term as Attorney General. Mr. McKenna earned 59 percent of the votes. And in the heavily-democratic region of King County McKenna received a striking 53 percent which is astounding for a candidate that aligns himself with the republican party.

The current State General has gathered a great deal of support from the state firemen, police force, and entrepreneurs by altering the way the Washington legal process runs overall. Right after being chosen to serve he had set up lessons to teach employees that work in state bureaus about the costly outcomes of avoidable court cases. Mckenna desires to halt the frivolous suits throughout Washington that take aim at medical doctors, health care establishments and ultimately any expert that is susceptible to these lawsuits.

Yet there is just one lawsuit that Rob McKenna is in the middle of which will rescue the state budget. He is working together with twenty-six other states in filing a claim over Obama's health care bill. He further states that this Obamacare bill is really a breach of the 10th amendment in the US constitution. This amendment assures individual states legal rights from any imposition by the federal government. He believes that it is unjust to place an expensive increase in Medicare insurance spending to the overall budget.

Obama not too long ago, authorized an change to the law providing states the choice to not enact the federal government program however on condition that their state puts into practice a similar plan. Many conservatives think this is a cop out because the national government is still telling states what to do and at a costly expense.

The current republican hopeful, was originally born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, was a military child maturing in locations worldwide. His father was an army officer positioned within posts throughout Germany and also Thailand. Mr. McKenna, attended the University of Washington and obtained a diploma in economics and later went on to get his J.D. through the University of Chicago Law School. He is married to his wife, Marilyn, and they are rearing four kids and currently they live in the city of Bellevue.
